Default what is the range ?

hello guys i know tha my coming question is very stupid but i am still new to the field and did not recieve my first radio set, my question at is the average range for radio sets (Futaba or JR) ?
sorry for that very basic question

Default As Far a your eye's Can see the Model!

Thats what I always tell people. Other wise if you can't see it anymore, It will probably crash someplace else !

Default what is the range ?

You should have a couple of miles range line of sight. That is why you don't often see flying sites closer than 5 miles apart. You will loose sight before you loose control unless you are using some of the indoor receivers they range 700 to 100 feet.
