Default disabling the ch.6,7,8 knobs on an 8UAPS?

How do I disable the knobs on my 8U transmitter?I am using ch 6 with alierons, and ch 7 and r for the rudder, the problem is that the knobs still move the servo.I fried a JR 8411 on the rudder because the knob accidently got moved and caused the servo on the rudder to fight until one finally won the battle.I have them mixed with the switch position selected as null. Please help.
Mike.

Hey lv2rcav8, I had the same questions on my Super 8 and was directed to the Futaba web site , its futabarc.com I think(if not , go to the Futaba manufactures help forum here on RCU and look for them.)Then go to their FAQ section and scroll thru their FAQ's and look for the question and answer that disables the channel or channels your looking for. Then print it out for future use. Hope this helps! John

On the 8U, you need to mix 6 as master and slave with 0%.
On the 9C, you can turn it off at the AUX menu.

Actually you mix the channel to itself at -100% This will disable the knob. This has to be done twice, once with the knob to the right and once with it to the left so both numbers read -100

You will have to use 3 mixes to disable all three knobs.

Here is the blow by blow:
