Default Futaba 12z and non-Futaba receivers

I was considering buying a Futaba 12z and I was wondering if it would work with my existing receivers. Hitec 555, berg 7p, Berg microstamp, etc.

I wrote to Futaba, and they said they couldn't guarantee that it would. Does anybody have any experience using a 12z and non-Futaba receivers?

Thanks,

I'm using a Berg Microstamp 4L full range rx with my 12Z with no problems.

I have been using mostly Polks Tracker-II synth receivers, one Hitec 555 and one FMA receiver for about a year with no problems.

With the newest software update my 14MZ is shift select in ppm mode AND 12 channels. I would think the 12Z has the same features.

FYI, Most Mfg's will NOT guarantee use of another product coupled with theirs ie Tx and Rx . Not that it won't work but they have no control over the "other" equipment and hence that policy.

There hasn't been an update for the 12z yet.
