Default Futaba 3PM FM Radio questions

I recently installed a Futaba 3PM FM radio in my Rustler with a R153F receiver, I have the 75mhz channel 69 crystals, and am running a Mamba Max system with 7700 kv motor.

Problem is, I have a pretty limited driving range now or else I experience glitching (No throttle, throttle spikes, unexpected steering). I didnt have this problem with the stock AM radio I had and everything is mounted in same places as the AM was. I'm thinking my problem is because of the area I live in, alot of people rely on the old school TV antennas(the big roof ones) and I think they use FM frequency. (I'm not sure on this, this is just my guess. So hopefully someone can answer that).

Anyways, what I want to ask then is
1. Can I run the 27 Mhz crytals? Im asking this cause I know the reciever says 75 Mhz on it. If so, would this possibly help?
2. Can I run AM crystals with this radio? I'm assuming not but I'm not a pro with radios yet so it's worth asking.
3. For future cars, do I have to use a futaba receiver to match with this radio? Or can I use any FM reciever as long as long as I have matching RX TX crystals?

Those are my questions for now, hopefully someone can help me with my glitching problem for sure.
