Default JR 10X Switch Replacement

I accidently broke off the gear switch on my 10X [>:] I have not opened it up yet to see what is involved in taking out the old one and putting in a new one. Is this something that can easily be done or does it need to go in? Thanks!

From memory the Gear awitch is on the top and is relatively easy to replace.

JC,
The answer to your question depends on your experience soldering. These switches typically soldered onto circuit boards in the highend radios. The traces are very fine and close together. It is very easy to accidently bridge the traces. This at best will cause the function not to work and at worst cause a componet failure.
