radio setup problem
I have a Futaba 9C. I have an airplane i am trying to mix steering wheel with rudder stick, i have the 7 mixes, i have to put it in aux.2 which is ch.8. i tried 4 different servos, 5 different # of mixes like mix 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and the stering servos did the same thing it would get enough travel one way nut about a 1/8 of an inch the other direction, i have my 2 rudder servos on a "Y" and my steering servo by its self, I tried doing every thing wit pos. neg nummbers but then it goes same direction eih same travel when i move the sticks left and right, so whats my problem, this is the first time i have had to mix stuff like this, its always been aileron mixes or throttle mixes, never rudder and steering, this is the first servo steering wheel ive had, it usally is conected to rudder servo with rods. so i need help, and fast i have to have my plane does soon.

...Also check that the aux channel is not bound to any switch.
The menu you're looking for is: Basic-->AUX-CH. (go to AUX8 and put the value to 'null', this mean it's not controlled on/off by any switch and free to be mixed)

RE: radio setup problem
Perhaps you can bring the radio and plane to your local club and have someone help you?
It's easier to do this hands on than for me to try to figure out the set-up without seing it and having the radio in my hands.

RE: radio setup problem
i think im the only one who uses a futaba, i have like 10 guys around where i live who fly but they are jr and i asked 2 guys already, one of them said they had this happen to them on 7cap. They cant help me. Im not sure what i could do, because i dont have any way of putting 3 servos in one channel. I dont thing thats good on the the reciver and stuff is it, can it over load it. I am thinking, the way this is set up, the steering servo is up side down whil the 2 rudder are rite side up so i am thing they will all go the same way, and when you turn the steering servo upside down it will work. so if you think it is okay to make a 3 way servo conecter it might work out, because i tried every thing i could think of and could not get that dang servo to do what it needs to do, the only other second option i could think if is to use a slider swith and use the aux on the slider and slide the slider to steer itm i would really hat to do that but i dont know what else to do. I asked a guy who uses futaba and builds airplanes for other people, he knows his stuff when using 12z and 14mz but could not tell me what to do. and now i am gonna be late getting this plane in the air to get my liscens to fly it.

Have you considered asking in the Futaba direct support forum
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_125/tt.htm
instead of here? They occasionally have some good ideas. But not always.

They may, just thought it best to cover all bases. Appears you are trying to get a jet ready. Most likely an F-18 or similar. You could even ask in the jet forums. Those guys are used to seperate nose steering.
If your conditions permitted, you could just add another Y-cord to one leg of your current Y-cord. Simple way out but no seperate trim or control.
Remember, you're trying to get this in the air. You can refine it later.

RE: radio setup problem
Try the following mix:
Master : RUDD
Slave : AUX2 (channel 8)
Link : OFF (might need to be ON, try it off first)
Trim : OFF
Switch : Any
Position : NULL
Rate : Whatever you need for the steering servo - Try 100% to start with
Offset : 0
Also, in the BASIC menu, under AUX-CH, set CH8 to NULL so the knob will not be linked to the mix.
Also if you are in Ailevator (dual elevator servo) mode, ch 8 is used for the second elevator servo.
