Default Transmitter Stand?

I just bought a new 9C to replace my 6XAs and I want to try and keep it in good condition.

I am interested in finding a solution to the problem of accidentally knocking the Tx over when starting the plane.

I normally sit the Tx on the ground next to the plane when starting and on occasion have knocked it over.

I have seen some sort of legs that attach to the back of a Tx but cannot remember what they care called or where I saw them.

Any other suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Try this link. It will take you to what you are looking for.

http://www.horizonhobby.com/services...prodnosearch=y

If that does not work just go to horizon hobby's website and search for the product code: HAN2520 that will get you what you need.

Why don't you lay it down completely? I have one of those kick stands that you put on the handle, and I use it all the time. If you get one, I'm sure you'll love it.
But when using someone else's equipment I always lay the transmitter on its back. No chance of tipping over then.

I am using one of the Hangar9 Tx stands on my 9C and really like it. However, it appears tha the handle on top rear of the Tx is a little shorter in width than others in the Futaba line. I had to actually shorten the latteral portion of the "H". Mine came in a marked for Futaba package, so this is the best I can figure.

We have had a lot of rain here in the Bay Area lately and the field always seems to have water everywhere so I don't want to lay it down on the wet/damp ground.

Anybody have any pictures of the Tx stands being discussed?

This is what I use, got the idea from the old guy that tought me to fly. It's just a simple piece of shelving from any home improvement store........... or your wifes closet.

These will also work well when mounted on the wall to hold TX's while charging.

Default PVC Tubing Stand

Maybe not as "clean" as RC_Junky's, but
made from readily available PVC tubing:

{No its not for sale}

And keeps the transmitter off the muddy ground
common in north Texas during early spring.

Another great idea, don't we all just love cheap or free stuff. Don't know about anyone else but, I have to save my RC dollars for things that I can't make myself or make work from what I already have.
