Unconfuse me please. re: Receiver hi/lo
Assume that you have an FM TX on 75. (VEX)
If you have a lo band FM receiver and a hi band crystal (75) , would it receive the signals from the TX?
IOW How flexible are receivers to crystal changes?
Thanks,
BoyntonStu

It wont work. Crystals can change channels within bands, but not between. HI/LO for Futaba usually refers to the upper half and the lower half of the 72 MHz band.

Thanks,
Do all rc receiver manufacturers make dual band receivers, or just Futaba?
IOW What receiver brand would allow any crystal with 72-75 Mhz?

Channel 75 is in the 75 MHz band as are all channels 61 thru 90. Channels 00 thru 09 are in the 50 MHz band and channels 11 thru 60 are in the 72 MHz band. Channel 10 is NOT used by us at this time and the 53 MHz band does not use channel numbers.
The RX MUST be tuned to operate in the correct band. Futaba is the only manufacturer who has split the 72 MHz band but they appear to have ended that policy with their latest releases.

O.K.
The question remains; which receivers will allow any crystal between 72 and 75?

Any 75 MHz RX will allow you to change from CHANNEL 72 to CHANNEL 75. NONE of them will allow you to change from the 72 MHz BAND to the 75 MHZ BAND without going to a shop and possibly the manufacturer for tuning/modification at least.
Do you understand that there is a difference between CHANNELS (individual frequencies) and BANDS (groups of frequencies)?

That is quite a definite NO!
Are you 100% positive that a RX labeled (BANDS) 72 will not operate with a 75 crystal?
Are there any crystal controlled receivers designed to take any crystal between 72 and 75?
