Default Futaba 7C question?

I’m just setting up my Futaba 7C. I figured out most on the trim modes. I thought there was a way to disengage the trim buttons to prevent accidental movement. Or does it go back to what you set it at every time you turn it on or change models?

I've never heard of a way to disengage the Trim function. The trims are kept in memory, and each plane has its own individual trim settings. I don't know if that answers your question or not.... if not, please let me know.

I don't know why anyone would want to "disengage" their trim buttons. I'm betting that virtually everyone needs to bump most of their trims at least once or twice on EVERY flight at least a click or two. Hard to do if disengaged.

The advantage of having digital trims is that they are disabled when you are not using the transmitter, that is when the power is off. Also they keep the trim changes in memory so that you always get the last trim setting for the model you select. This is my first season flying with digitals, would never want to go back to old style ever. That said, I feel that it is very important to have a dedicated throttle kill switch on a Tx with digital trim on throttle, the JR 7202/DX7 use of digital trim for throttle kill leaves much to be desired, as it's not instantaneous.
