Default Spektrum interference

hi,after buying new radio gear looking at spektrum DX3 but i have heard that mobile phones etc can cause interference,does anyone think this is the way to go or stick with crystal systems?thanks for any advice

I have heard the same thing. The guys I fly with and I all have cell phones on all the time and use them of course during flying. I have 5 planes on DX-7. Nothing has ever happend - period!

I have one turned on in my pocket all the time and nothing happens. They are a different frequency than 2.4 so they shouldn't be a problem.

One of the requirements for equipment to use 2.4ghz is it shall not interfer with any other equipment that uses the band.

Just old wives tales, belongs in the same category as Mom telling you you had to wait an hour after eating to go back in the pool, or "stop it, or you'll go blind

When I was a kid I tested mom's admonishions by eating a lot then jumping in a pool with a warm soapy washcloth.
-No problems-
(this is known in scientific circles as a double blind test)
