Default Eclipse 7 setup for Ultrastick 40

Does anyone know how to set up the Hitec Eclipse 7 for use with the Hanger 9 Ultrastick 40 with quad flaps? I can't seem to figure out how to setup the throttle. I can get into the glider setup and I can go to the 4-wing setup. I am trying to get it setup so I can use the crow or butterfly mode with the quad flaps. The problem is with the Eclipse 7, the throttle is assigned to a switch instead of the normal throttle. Any help would be a great and welcomed.

The Eclipse 7 won't do crow at all according to Mike at Hitec.

How many servos have you got driving the flaps and ailerons? Can Y harnesses help? I think you'll need to stay in ACRO mode for the functions you'd expect with a plane rather than a helicopter or glider. The throttle is driven by a switch rather than normally??? Don't understand - most throttles are channel 3 in mode 1 and don't involve switches as is the case with the Eclipse. Cheers from Oz.

The ultar stick will fly in crow with the eclipse but you have to do the flaps with a "y" cable and activate flaperon for the aielerons turn both knobs to the right and voila crow

Crow is just possible with the Hitec 7 Eclipse, but it takes two switches to do it.

Don't bother trying to do it with the glider crow, as you can't use throttle at the same time.

This is an extract from a previous message (it's on the Hitec website I think):-

Channel Assignments
CH1 - Right aileron
CH2 - Elevator
CH3 - Throttle
CH4 - Rudder
CH5 - Right Flap
CH6 - Left aileron
CH7 - Left Flap

Mixing setup for Quad Flaps functionality
(Reverse throws and % as needed)
PMX1 Mix CH1-Master to CH5-Slave
PMX2 Mix CH1-Master to CH7-Slave
PMX3 Mix CH5-Master to CH7-Slave
PMX4 Mix CH7-Master To CH5-Slave (must be active full time)
PMX5 Mix CH2-Master to CH6-Slave
LAND Active CH6-Flaperon up CH2-elevator down max of .25in
FLPN - Active Flaperon Mixing

Quad Flap mix activation switches
1. Crow - Activated LAND mode switch and the CH5 Gear switch.

2. Elevator-to-Flaps - Activate Flight condition switch (Due to limited number of programmable mix sets
this mix will need to combine the movement of the elevator to the Flaperon instead of the Flaps.)

3. Aileron-to-Flaps - Activate CH7 switch

4. Short Take off Flaps - Activate Gear switch

You can also program crow to work off of the channel 7 switch. One switch throws crow and the knob adjust how much travel. I though it was pretty cool. I now have a 9C so I don't remember exactly how to do it, but I the ch7 switch turns on two mixes and that is what I used.
