Throttle kill switch on 9C
I am trying to setup a switch that will block the throttle in airplane mode on my 9C. It is the one thing I miss in my Eclipse radio. It had a throttle kill button.
I have the following mix which all most works but still allows a little throttle.
Mix on
Mas 3:thro
Slv 3:thro
Link off
trim off
Sw G
posi up
both rate at -100%
offset 0%

Hey Bob,
That's exactly the mix I have set up as a throttle lock for the electrics I have setup on my 9C. Have you tried lowering the EPA on the throttle and is your throttle trim set to neutral?
I use all CC controllers, both Phoenix and T-Birds with no issues.
Good luck,
Pete

A kill switch setup is in the documentation for the 9C I use it for all my models. Scrap what you are doing and check out page 33 of the manual. You can set up a throttle down for landinding and such IE a fast idle, and also a throttle kill that lets you close off the throttle as far as the movement allows. The radio even beeps and warns you on the screen if you turn it on and the kill switch is on.
If you don't have the manual, you can print one off Futabarc.com

RE: Throttle kill switch on 9C
I had the throttle trim all the off. It seems it needs to be in the neutral position when you plug in the battery.
Thanks for the help
Cheers Bob

RE: Throttle kill switch on 9C
You know how much time I have screwed around with this. Well don't ask!!!!!!!!!
I'll have to wait till I can to a range check but some times when I do a range check I get the throttle starting a little bit which I use all down throttle trim to stop.
Reading the manual I just noticed I can set up triple dual rates or even better I can and have set up my ailerons to use switch D but instead of just high and low I have it setup so that at 80% ailerons it switches to 100% rate if switch D is up. This is really cool. I crashed my Pulse XT on landing the other day because I forgot to shut off the high rates and over corrected and had to dump the plane rather than chance that I could get enough control back before hitting the polite stations.
