Congratulations!!!
It looks like you're the first recipient of the Tracker II to post on RCU.

Any chance of pictures??? Mine's probably sitting at Canada customs right now...

Just got mine Friday, seems like a great radio. a little big for my hands, but I fly with a tray so no problem. You guys with big hands would like the way it feels. Will provide updates as I become more famaliar with it. Still stuck in winter in Wisconsin so field tests may be a little while. Latter Craig

Does the Tracker II look like the picture on Polks website or has the case been updated? If it is the same you won't need to post a picture...

When I asked Mr. Polk about that picture, he said that was a picture of the old version...

That is good to hear. Mayhaps Polk will update the site soon. They have many inovations in the Tracker II. The website on the other hand could use some attention.

I just received my Tracker II radio today!

I have only had a few minutes to look at it but, it looks just like the picture on the web site except, the battery meter says Polks Hobby and it doesn't have any volt markings, just a red line that changes to chrome.

There is a digital read-out of the voltage on the LCD.

I looks like this radio will be NO PROBLEM to program.

I had no trouble figuring out how to change the channel of the transmitter, and the Seeker reciever was very EZ to set up as well.

I hope to use the Tracker II this weekend.

Aparrently there have been so many comments at the trade shows about it's looks that they're considering modernizing the case for the next revision. Mr. Polk had said it was very similar, but I didn't know how close.

As for programming ease, the manual makes it look easy - I can hardly wait till mine arrives to try it myself.

How's about when used with other brand receivers? Has anyone had a chance to try it yet? Rcdemon had mentioned in another thread that:
...the receivers will have to be tuned in pretty close to the Crystal for them to work with the radio.
Has anyone had problems with this yet? Has anyone even tried it?

I have tried using the radio with Hitec and Jr receivers. Some are glitchey and some don't work at all. I assume that this is because they are not in tune with the channel 12 crystal that I'm using. I'm on the fence as far as using the receivers and getting them tuned or just selling them and buying the Seeker receivers' from Polk. The Seeker receiver works great! Does anybody now where a person might send the receivers to have them tuned? More updates later when winter goes away. Craig

If you're close even if the receiver is out of tune it will still work. at least it should.

RCDemon - no offence intended, but are you trying to use the same crystal for all the receivers you were testing? They are not interchangable from one brand to the next. JR receiver needs JR crystal, Hitec receiver needs Hitec crystal, etc...

Did you have flourescent lighting on anywhere in the house? My Hitec receiver goes nuts when some of my flourescent lights are on, but not with others.

Hatman - they never said it would work with PCM.

None taken. No I was not swapping cyrstal. Yes there was floresent lights. I'll try more test upstairs. My JR receivers are the single conversion ABC&W type. They are FM though, will they work. Maybe I should ask Polk about it.

Damn, I wish mine would hurry up and get here. The customs agents at the border are probably scratching their heads trying to figure it out before they allow it to enter Canada.

It's frustrating to have waited since September for this, and have to settle for reading everyone elses experiences rather than playing with it. It was shipped via USPS with no tracking number, so I can't even check where it is. :disappoin

Here is a question for those that have the Manual. What if any is the buddy box (trainer) compatability of the TrackerII?

I remeber reading somewhere that JR radios used a positive (+) freq. shift and Futaba uses a negative (-) freq. shift. (or maybe it's the other way around?)

I think that there is a screen that shows "PPM (-)", you may need to change the - to a + depending on the brand of receiver you are trying to use.

Just a thought.

I don't need the manual to answer that one - The Tracker II has no trainer port. There has been enough interest though that they are considering putting one in the next revision.

If you would like a copy of the manual, send me an email or private message with your email address.

I have the Tracker II. It has NO place to connect a Buddy Box/Trainer cord.

XXX, you need to go to the 1st programing menu and switch the wing configuration to flaperon.
