What do I need to have flaps?
I have a 6 channel JR XF631. It has mixing that allows flaperons. It has a switch that lowers flaps. I can't determine from the manual if the flaperons are the flaps, or it can lower separate flaps (pretty bad for a manual!).
What kind of receiver do I need to have ailerons, flaps, and flaperons?
Thanks!

RE: What do I need to have flaps?
BTW, I would prefer proportional flaps, but since both the gear and flap switches are just two position I bet that's not possible.
Thanks for any help.

The flapperon function allows you to use two separate channels to control two servos to operate the ailerons. When you have two channels and two servos to operate the ailerons, it allows for mixing in a flap function into the ailerons. Move the aileron stick side to side and the ailerons function normally. Flip the flap switch and both ailerons drop the same amount, but moving the aileron stick, they still move opposite. This allows you to use ailerons as both ailerons and as flaps. If you have regular flaps and ailerons on your plane, you can probably be able to mix a butterfly where the flaps drop as normal but the ailerons both raise This will slow a plane down without a lot of extra lift.
I'll be using a flapperon mix to add flap function to a highly modified 4 * I just finished. With all the modification and extras I've put in to it, it's pretty heavy. It'll be nice to be able to use flaps if needed.

Thanks. Well, I understand that, what flaperons are, but I don't understand if this TX allows them plus regular flaps.
Thanks
