Futaba or Hitec?
Despite everybody's opinion, I have decided to buy a 3 channel radio for my first sailplane.
Can anyone tell me which is the best: Futaba 3FR or Hitec Focus III?
I'm really concerned about the batteries. It seems that Futaba 3FR accepts individual NiCads... Is it really true? What about the Focus, can I use individual NiCads as well?

I got the Focus. I liked the throttle location better than the Futaba, it came with a Nicad transmitter pack, and charger, and I was able to get it with mini servos for around 100 bucks.

You might also want to consider the new Neon. http://www.hitecrcd.com/Radios/neon.htm It is available in a couple different versions, on of which is a dry system that you can use individual AA's of any type of you can get a version with nicads in the transmitter.
