internal battery on mc4000
[]I,m sure this question has been asked before, but, can the internal batttery on a profi 4000 be changed, mine has quit. Can I do it, and if so,,,,any pitfalls........help.

Do You mean the main battery or the lithium battery to protect the memory? If the former, you can just buy a replacement from MPX complete with a lead. If the lithium one has failed you need to send it to a repair agent.

yes John, its the lith battery inside the guts of the radio, I,ve changed the regular nicads many times, but all of a sudden Im getting this error message and now its caput....looks like I need to find a place to change it.....any one know where, other than Germany.
