Default Please help - New to this, making a giant RC car...

I want to make myself a gaint rc car. I am very new to this kinda thing, although I have a basic understanding of what I need to do. I am going to use a 5hp go kart engine, and bike tires. I know quite a bit about go karts, so putting it together won't be a problem. I do need help with what I will need for servos and controls. I will need one for the gas, one for the brake, and another for steering. What would you suggest I use for these? I would like to go as cheap as I can...maybe used.

Default Umm....

Wouldn't it make more sense to just...I dunno....DRIVE IT?
It'd be like making a full sized plane and wanna fly it RC style. Whats the point?

Wouldn't that be something you could do with all larger rc cars? The point is to have something giant yet still remote control. It will not be as large as a go kart, but will have a go kart sized engine. I want to make it myself rather than buying something pre made...which would be alot more expensive.

This is about as powerful as it gets. You may need to gang more than one together if it is not enough. Run one per wheel.

Servocity has a 4:1 gear drive attachment click that can be used with cheap standard servos. Might be useful for prototyping if you don't need high-speed response.
