Need help JR 10x Rx Probl.
Hi Guys :
I just made an upgrade from the 9c to the JR 10x because I'm flying Giant Scale and I also switched to 50mhz.
I tried my radio for the first time last saturday and i was using a 549 fm Rx on a Gp Pitts powered by a zdz 60 engine the first flight was ok but then on the 2nd and 3rd I got a couple of glitches on each flight.
I went home and decided to check all the electronics equipment and found nothing more than a extension in bad condition that was replaced.
Next day I went to the flying field again with everything in order extensions , switches , Rx etc.
On the first flight the glitch was there again and stronger 3 or 4 times , I decided to land the plane and I switced the RX for 955 pcm.
With the new Rx there were no glitches I just flew around without making any aerobatic flight to see what happens , I flew it two times without an issue .
In a moment I thought that it was a problem with the frequency 50mhz but then I found that one of my buddies was flying in that frequency without a problem.
Both RX are new and I bought it last week from Don's Hobby Shop.
As you guys understand is Kind of frustrating that I just spend all that money on this system when my former was working perfect and I have this problem.
What do you think? It' s a Rx problem or should I send the entire system ( I don't want to ).
Your comments and help are appreciated.
Thanks,
epc,

Need help JR 10x Rx Probl.
With the problem in both rx's, you can rule out Rx problems.
Same crystal? Could be bad crystal or intermittant interference on your freq.
Different freq's or crystals? Could be model induced interference--esp motor. Not familiar with your motor. Could be ignition or rusty bearings.
It will not be the transmitter.

If the pcm is set to go into hold, you may be getting hit and not even know it. Try setting your throttle to fail safe, set it to go to idle. If you fly it and the throttle starts blipping, you'll know it's happening to both rxs.

My initial thought was possible ignition induced interference. FM receivers tend to get hit by this much more so than the 955 would. I agree with the suggestion to set throttle failsafe to low throttle. I do this as a matter of course with all my planes. If it seems ignition might be the source I would check to make sure the caps are on securely and possibly even change the plugs.

I have had problems on 50MHZ with the 950 and 940 RX.But have
not had a problem with 945 RX. I test fly all RX.in the same
Aircraft with a YS 91 convarted to ignition.
