Radio and receiver Compatibilty ? ?
Can a Traxxas VXL TQ Radio and receiver from a brushless system be used with a standard brush motor? I found some for sale for a good deal and thought it would be nice to have a couple spare radios around but none of my cars are brushless.. Will it work with a standard 17 turn motor, mechanical and electronic speed control and NiMh batteries?
Sorry if this question is dumb but i've been out of the hobby for awhile and things have changed quite a bit since then.

Most of the guys here (but not all) are into airplanes or helis. Could I suggest that you try the Traxxas Truck forum?

I'm not familiar with that particular radio and don't run electric but I believe it will be a simple matter of buying the correct speed control unit.
