Default jr to futaba buddy box cord problem

I just started flight lessons with my H9 F-22 and my flight instructor has three buddy boxes but they all use futaba connectors. Lucky for me the F-22 came with a buddy cord with a splitter to futaba and jr but when we tried it none of them worked. The control made no response at all. Is there any way to fix this, it dosent make sence?

This works with a Futaba as slave and JR as master :

Hi again,

It DOESN'T work, DOES it?
Can you confirm that the slave transmitter was powered up with the main switch on that transmitter? The slave Futaba has to provide power to that HAN-173-interface. Do you have any possibility to chech that the salve TX is not transmitting (eventually remove crystal or RF/HF-module)?
Can you confirm that the master JR transmitter was powezred-up with the main power switch on that transmitter. If the master TX is not switch on with her main switch, it will not transmit.

Also make sure the slave is set on PPM modulation.
