Default 14MZ reciever setup 2.4GHZ

I have been reading, and see that that channels setup on a regular G3 receiver is different them a 2.4GHZ receiver setup. I just got my 14MZ in November, and had to change all the channel of my old 9Z to the new configuration of the 14MZ receiver. And now I'm reading on the futaba site, that if I go to 2.4GHZ setup I will have to change again. Does it really make a difference, what channel is plug in where?

Default RE: 14MZ reciever setup 2.4GHZ

It changes depending on wing and tail type. Also the book lists different set up when using 7 vrs. 14 ch. For my setup, 1 wing, + Ailevator it was Ele, Ele, Rud, Thro, Ail, Eng kill, Choke. Identical setup for 7ch and 14 ch. I suggest parking the 14 ch reciever for a while untill more people report success using it with non Futaba brand servos. My attempt to hook a 14 ch reciever up to 2 ganged HighTech 5595s was a nightmare. One of the HT servos wouldn't evan work singly. Luckily the 7ch is not as fussy about what servos it drives. Fingers crossed and add, so far!
