New crystal or not
I've had a Futaba cheapo for a few years.The rx is the 114..I wrecked the plane a few days ago and I mean really wrecked..Everything came out of the fuse.The antenna tore off and I think the inside of the rx is loose..
Question is if I order another rx can I use the crystal that I had in this one.Have they changed in some way. I've had this set up for eight years or so.I know it should be the same but want advise before I place a short order and have to reorder...Channel 48..

Put it this way..
As it's impossible to tell if the old crystal is damaged enough to fail suddenly while you are flying, and it is certainly fragile enough to be suspect, you are trading the certainty of spending $10 with the possibility of spending $300-400 or more if you don't.

Order a new crystal. The crystal is the most fragile part of any receiver. If the Rx is wrecked the chances that the crystal is still working correctly are practically zero.
