Default Futaba Fasst 6EX and Spektrum DX6

Hallo,

Most of my models share a Futaba 6EX transmitter, with each model I simply buy one more receiver and bind it to the transmitter. (very cost effective)

I am very enthusiastic about the new 2.4Ghz systems and am a total convert.

The other day I had the good fortune to get hold of (at a really good price) a similar system from Spektrum called DX6, I have not used it at present.

I was wondering if it is possible to bind a Spektrum receiver to a Futaba 6EX transmitter. I wanted to ask this question first in case I damaged anything in the attempt to find out.

If you know the answer or have done it could you please let me know?

Thanks

Alan.

No - The 2 systems work on entirely different technologies and will NOT intermix. The only thing they really have in common is the freq band and some appearance features. The DX6 is also a short range (park flyer) system not meant to be used with larger aircraft or at long distances.

Depends on the model of DX6. The Dx6i is full range, the park flyer Dx6 is short range.

Hallo and thanks for the quick answers.

My Spektrum system is only the Noddy ParkFlyer type which is ok as it is going to go in a model tank.

Glad I asked here before I damaged anything.

Cheers

Alan.

And besides all that....

The Futaba system employs channel hopping
( it stays on a channel for only 2ms then
jumps to the next channel over and over) "FASST".

The Spektrum finds a single clear channel
and stays there. It would ignore the Futaba...
