RE: Futaba 12z vs 12fg 2.4
sticks in the 12Z are better for one,

i'm a DSLR shooter and love the Li-ion battery,
12Z uses CF cards........the LCD is bigger, and the one thing that really did it for me was that i can change the volume of the countdown timer so i can hear the thing when on the flight line.
the 12Z also has a different look in the menus vs the 12FG, and the 2 added menu buttons the 12Z has make things a lot faster when doing setups.
the 12Z comes with it's own case.........not really important to a lot of people, but by the time you add the FG and it's special trainer cord and a case, you are within $150.00 of the 12Z.
it will really come down to a personal preference though as the 12FG is an awesome radio for the price and will be more radio than most guys will ever need.
have you looked at both manuals to see what you will be seeing when you use the menus?
that is something to check out.
both radios are top of the line and you can't go wrong with either..................the 12FG was on my wish list for 3 months, then the 10C came out and i prepaid for it, and then the 10C got pushed back 3 times which pushed me back to the 12FG, but then i saw a 12Z in person....love at first sight[8D]
