Will a Sirius Charge Quad charge the battery in a 12X?

It depends on the receiver not the charger.
My sirus quad charger charges my JR x9303 with no problems.

If it is a NiCad or NiMh battery the answer is yes. If it's LiPo, then NO!

Hope this helps,

Here is what the Quad can do. Basically on the transmitter channel (#1) it can do either NiMH or Nicad 4 to 8 cells, 500 to 2000 mAh.

I've had one for years and love it. All four charge point do 1 amp each.

TRANSMITTER (Channel 1) RX = #2, #3, #4
QUAD - Nicad 4 to 8 500 to 2000 4 to 6 1000 to 4000
QUAD - NiMH 4 to 8 500 to 2000 4 to 6 1000 to 4000

I was just concerned since they have a new type of charger included.

It is a 2,000 mAh NiMH pack. The reason for the new charger is likely related to the pack size, that is larger than most radios had before and would need a bigger charger. The Quad will do this pack just fine.
