Default Reducing Servo travel...Help

I have a Seamaster 40, almost done. Now, I set up the servo with the recommended servo double stick tape. I have a new Lazer 4 HiTec radio and servos. Its going to rip this poor servo off the tape. The throttle is opening and closing alright...too much. How can I reduce the travel ???? Help. I have tried different holes in the servo arms and all. not going to cut it. Thanks.

Some suggestions :

1) shorten the push rod ? or......

2) remove the servo horn and rotate it back one spline further from the engine ? or......

3) drill another hole on the servo horn

If you have a computer radio, this can be solved easily with the travel limit function

If you shorten the rod, you just moved the servo closer to the engine/carb. Thanks for the help. No computer radio

I think it still wont matter if its 100' away or 1" away. Servo travel is servo travel right?? I am not contesting you? Just trying to clear this up. I read my manual for TX last night. It does not have a setup to reduce servo travel on channel 3. only 1-2

Move the rod to a position closest to the hub of the servo arm - drill another hole if necessary. Otherwise (or as well) move the rod to the hole on the throttle linkage furthest from the center of the throttle arm. One of these should do the trick!

Sure it's called ATV, not sure if that particular radio has it but even if it does you really shouldn't use it. Because if you get a radio glitch in air it'll definitly be passed the radio's ATV limit and might close the throttle all the way (killing engine in flight)

I soldered an extension arm on the throttle. I had no choice. Weird. I had the servo horn all the way in until it was near hitting the sire of the servo. The throttle was at the outtermost hole. What gives. I am in buisness now.

I would only trust that as long as it takes to get a real replacment, if the connector rod every binds up there's a decent chance to solder joint will break.

I doubt the servo could break silver solder. This is real bizzare that I had to do this. many other planes, never had to worry about over travel on throttle servo.

Depends on how well you cleaned and tinned the connection beforehand.
