Default Hitec receiver - only rudder has glitch?

Why is just my rudder channel servo on my Hitec 3500 receiver very jumpy.
I am using a Flash 5X radio and on channel 12.
All of the other channels are fine.
I got some new 311 servos to replace the old 300's.
I put many different servos on that channel and they all acted up.
Is the receiver bad?
It is in my trainer (now my son's trainer) and has not been flown in 1 1/2 years.
It had been kept inside and covered.

What do I do now?

I did ask this to Mike at Hitec but no answer yet.

I had this same problem with a tx that had sat uncovered in a dusty workshop. Dust had worked its way into the pots inside the radio. A shot of lubricating tuner cleaner into the vent hole on the back of each pot solved the problem. Give it a shot then work the stick back and forth.

The radio is fine. That is my normal radio.
The problem is with the receiver because all of my other receivers work fine with that same radio.

Any one else want to give me a clue?

I guess I could send the receiver in for service.

If you have tried other servos and they all do the same thing, I would send the receiver in and get it checked. Something is not right on it.

I agree. Sounds like that channel is defective on the receiver, since you have already ruled out the Tx and the servo. Are you using an extension on this servo? The only thought I can add is possible corrosion on the connecting pins in the receiver or any extensions.

Thanks guys.
I am not using any extensions and yes I have tried at least 4 servos on that channel. All of them act up.
I guess it is time to send it in for service.

Default Problem resolved

Ok, Good news/bad news.
I tried switching everything. Servos, crystals, batteries.
I even switched receivers with a new one from another plane.
It had the same problem What???
So it’s my computer radio.
I never thought it was my radio.
The radio has a problem on that particular model on channel 4 (rudder). It is a Hitec Flash 5x radio.
I switched back to the original receiver and switched models on my radio and then set the plane up again on the radio.
It worked fine.

Go figure.

Default Check it outside

I had the same problem in my workshop with a HT rx. They I began to notice that I the further I got from the flouresent lights the better it got. I turned the lights off and problem solved. I also found a defective crystal in one other rx. Try NEW crystal.

The crystal is new, and I tried another new crystal.
I even changes receivers.
BUT...
I am under fluorescent lights.

Thanks for the hint.
I will try it at home.
