Default mixing JR with airtronics

Wondering what the verdict is on using an airtronics receiver with a JR transmitter? Is this alright to do or should I just wait until my JR receiver comes in the mail. I know my airtronics receiver works with the transmitter(7202 version) but I don't know if the mixing of brands will affect distance and performance or not
Is this a big nono to do?

PCM no.

PPM maybe, I think Airtronics and JR use the same positive shift.

PPM, yes. I've used a lot of Hitec RX's that were marked for Airtronics/JR and never had a problem.

PPM, Absolutely no problem as they are both positive shift. I have used many Airtronics receivers with JR 3810/ 9X and 10X Radios in every thing from trainers to 2M Patternships and Helicopters.
