So far I've decided to go with the Spektrum DX6i 6-channel 2.4Ghz Radio System along with the Spektrum AR6200 DSM2 6-Channel Ultralite Receiver. So I got the controller and receiver that work but am curious about a speed controller, I know that it has to be compatible with your motor, but will I also have to see if it works with the receiver? Or will any speed controller work. Or is it the same like the servos, about not being restricted to any particular kind except maybe the Physical size?

you should have no problem finding a speed controller that will work with the Specktrum.......
