Default fried??

Is it possible to fry the crystal in the transmitter? This is an airtronics rd6000 radio and it does not seem to be transmitting at all. Everything else works( the computer functions I mean). I plugged a battery in with reverse polarity for about half a second. Has this happened to anyone and how did you fix it?

Reversed battery polarity won't damage the crystal (they have no polarity), but it probably damaged something in the RF circuitry. I would suggest sending it in for a repair estimate. It's probably something minor.

Default thanks

Thanks for the reply, I called airtronics and they said that it would be $10 to $15 to repair. Not bad at all! And you were right, it was something minor. Thanks for your answer.
