What is this?
Hi all
I bought a Dynam ME262 EDF twin jet.
The throttle leads coming off the ESC (2) each have a 5 inch extension with a black shrink wrap electrical part in the middle. I would like to know what it is and what it does?
Thanks
I was advised to not use the BEC in the ESC and disable the red wires and use a separate battery for the RX system.
I may do that, but these extensions have we scratching my head

RE: What is this?
What you see in the picture is just how it came out of thebag.
This is a new ARF released not long agoby Dynam.
Of course no info in the instructions. But there must be a good reason for them to include these.
I suspect it has something to do with pairing up the ESC units and using the switched BEC together?
Or it could be a homing device for Chinese ICBMs
I will try to contact Dynam for info. Good Luck!
If anyone knows for sure what they are, please post.
Thanks
Tom

RE: What is this?
The round items that have the servo wire wrapped around are RF chokes (just magnets). They are used to clean up noisy electrical signals on both the power and signal wires. As stated in a previous post, not really required for 2.4 equipment. But, I would not remove them, they will not impede proper operation of your system.

RE: What is this?
the round things are torroidal cores, made from a ferrite material. They're there to help keep the switching spikes generated within the ESC from getting to the RX. I'd leave them in.
The other things under the black heatshrink - can't say. We'd have to see under the heatshrink, let us know if you hear from the manufacturer.

RE: What is this?
I got a reply from Dynam.
Here it is.
Here it is.
Hello Tom
Thanks for your choice of our products.
The part is AMPFILER .
Our ESC signal voltage is 3.3V, but some brand receiver signal voltage is only 3V.
So we made the AMPFILER to adjust the voltage to 3.3V, so our ESC can use with all brand radio system.
Best Regards
Lucy
