Graupner mx22-spektrum dm9 module hummm
Hi,
After reading the horror stories conserning graupner IFS(XPS) i sold all my gear and converted my Graupner Mx22 to spektrum 2.4.I purchased the Dsm9 module which is compatible with this radio and an ar9000 and ar7000 receiver.
The combo works ok tested in flight etc, however when i switch on the transmitter and for the entire time it is on there is a constant hummmming noise coming form the module.
Is this normal or will I have to change yet another module....this 2.4 business is really begining to get on my nerves [:@]

I have a DM8 module for my Futaba radio, and it also hums. I think it's the voltage regulator, the 2.4 Ghz components runs on 5V I believe (or maybe even lower?), so the voltage from the transmitter needs to be converted and it's this process that makes the humming.

All Spektrum systems hum to a certain extent, the Cypress chipset used runs on 3.3V and its the 3V3 regulator that causes the humming.
