Strange Hitec Servo
Okay, I'm trying to help somebody fix their R/C blimp. The servo that controlled the thrust vectoring failed. Here's the strange part: The old servo didn't have a center. When you moved the stick from center the servo would start to spin, the further from center the faster the servo spun. Where could we get a replacement servo that does this? The servo said "HS-422 Apollo 10". This is not anything like the standard proportional HS-422 I know of.
Thanks!

RE: Strange Hitec Servo
Hi,
Go to the following web site, look under "Servo - Modify for Retracts, Number of Turns, Ganging, Reverse & Continuous Rotation" they tell you how to modify some Hitec servos to do this.
http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~atong/
That site has many tips and you'll have to look down through the topics.
It is a good reference site to put in your favourite list - so you can always refer to for common RC questions.
Hope this helps.
