Getting back into R/C after a LOOOONG delay. I'm interested in electric "park flyers". Someone mentioned that there is a micro receiver with a esc built in. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it worthwhile? Is it cheap or expensive? Where do you get it?

What I would do is get the FMA Direct 5 channel dual conversion micro receiver and a separate speed control to suit your particular installation. I doubt it would be any heavier or larger than that thing Tower is pushing. It doesn't say it is a dual conversion receiver so I would assume it isn't. The FMA unit is a "grown up" receiver that would work in any airplane requiring 5 or less channels.

Even their regular 6 and 8 channel receivers are only .5oz. and small enough for park flyers.

Thanks for the input guys! As far as the simulator "refresher" goes, I would love to get one. But, I'm a die-hard Macintosh user and I don't think anything is available for the MAC. Am I wrong? I hope so. Does anyone know?

Try:
http://www.plantraco.com
They have a very small receiver WITH 10 amp ESC incorporated.
