Missing 14MZ in Puget Sound
Guys,
I need your help. My 14MZ, was taken from the Marymoor RC Club in Redmond about 3 weeks back. I accidently left it behind and cam back to look for it but it was gone. No one from the field have seen it. I have checked all the for sale boards, including ebay and Criagslist, and have not seen anything pop up. So here is a description:
14MZ. Serial nyumber/product id : 00001987
14MZ flat case
TNC tach
Futaba Batt checker BR-2000
2x Fromeco batts 2600mah
The tx is using the Fromeco tray
My AMA card
If anyone do come across this please pm me. Your help will be very much appreciated. Futaba Service Center has been alerted. Thank you.
Azhar

I'll be looking for it, Azhar. I've had RC equipment stolen before and it was extremely disheartening so I know how you feel. Hopefully it'll turn up.

This might be a good case for using the password protection feature of the 14. Renders it pretty much useless to the thief.
I don't use it myself, but like I said, food for thought.

yes, the password feature is a good thing but can be cumbersome. But the id code is unique and short and easily verified.I am not holding my breath, but I want to make it as difficult as possible for someone to dispose it on the major boards, or ebay, etc.

Keep your spirits up. A few years ago my JR 8103DT came up missing at the field case and all. Found it two years later at a pawn shop. Paid the guy $20 to get it back and avoid the hassle of police and court.
One note though. He said he had kept it in a back room for about 30 days. He said this was common practice for pawn shops. I can't think of any legitimate reason for doing this and believe they do it because they know folks will be coming around looking for stolen items soon after the deed is done.
SOB's.

When people pawn things they do so as a loan. If they come back before the 30 days are up and pay back the money the pawn shop loaned them plus interst they get the item back. If they don't come back to pick it up, that's when it is sold
I really hope you get your things back! Thieves suck!
