Futaba Buddy Box Help Please
I have a Futaba 6EX 2.4GHz system and a Futaba T4YF 4VF with no antenna, RF module or crystal. I just received the trainer cable from Tower, followed the setup directions in the Futaba handbook for the 6EX, and no joy. When the 6EX is powered up with the cable connected to both boxes and the the trainer switch on the 6EX in the down position, the power lights on the T4YF are lit. However, no control surfaces or motor control is available. Flipping the flaps switch on the 6EX causes the ailerons to split for some reason. I did contact Futaba support earlier and was told that the T4YF 4VF was compatible with the 6EX:

RE: Futaba Buddy Box Help Please
OK. reread the manual, and nothing was written other than plug in the cord to appropriate TXs. However, read another post in RCGroups (from 2005), and made mention of the menu selection for turning on the TRNR function - DUHHHH. All is well with the world now.
