Can some of you guys who have used both do a quick comparison of Futaba S3001 servos and Hitec HS-425BB servos? Thanks

I have used both in sport type airplanes and some scale, fairly even comparison, they are both good all around servos. You can use one 3001 and one 425 in dual elevator setup since they rotate in opposite direction. I have recently leaned more towards the Hi tec servos, they seem to center better, not as much play in gear train, just my experience at the time.

I would not use a different manufacturer's servo on each Elevator Half just because they rotate in opposite directions. It is more likely that different servos with not Track the same either because they move at slightly different speeds or the End Points are different.

I have used Hitec for years, with excellent results. Since the Futaba 3000 series servos came with the Futaba radios I have purchased, I have used them extensively, without a problem.
