Cirrus 751 MG servo
Has anyone used Cirrus 751 MG servos in a 30% airplane?
They say that they a cheap and powerful, but are they any good?
I have a 30% Yak 54 that I am putting a DL 55 Engine in
Has anyone used these things?

RE: Cirrus 751 MG servo
I bought 7 of those servos. I have one on the throttle of my 30% SD Yak now but I am going to replace it for one that is faster. Last year I put together a 85" Yak and used five of those servos. They worked good except the rudder. I did a couple of snaps on a cold day. I was also trying to mix some elevator to my rudder for knife edge. Doing those snaps broke the servo. The mounting tabs broke off the outside and the case broke on the inside where the metal pin that holds the gears in place broke right through the plastic. The servo locked at 25 degrees rudder but luckily it happened after I landed and I was fiddling with my knife edge mix. I think the cold temperatures made the plastic brittle.
I never had a problem with them on elevator and ailerons but I swapped them out anyway. If you use them DO NOT USE ONE ON THE RUDDER.
