Flaperon settings on Spectrum DX-7
Hi guys,
I'm havin some problems trying to setup a Spectrum DX-7 with a flaperon setting on a .40 size citabria of mine.
I have the standard 'one servo per aileron' setup; and as per the manual i have set the port side servo into the 'aileron' channel on the receiver and the starboard servo in the 'Aux 1' channel on the receiver.
This works well apart from the fact that when i give a left command on the transmitter the aileron delflections will turn the aircraft right and visa-versa. Seemed pretty straight forward, so i thought i would reverse the channel through the TX. This is where the problem arises.
Before i reverse the channel on the TX the ailerons work in the opposite sense, and when i flick the mode switch on the top right the ailerons work as flaps 'as advertised' working ether fully up as spoilers, fully down as flaps,or normally as ailerons in the middle setting.
When i reverse the channel on the TX things start going strange. Both the ailerons work in the same direction and move directly in proportion to the stick deflection on the TX (i.e. they move as a flap setting either both up or down, but as a direct relation to the amount of stick deflection i give on the TX)
I can't seem to find a way to just reverse the aileron direction,
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Gareth.

RE: Flaperon settings on Spectrum DX-7
Problem sorted, turns out all i needed to do was reverse the flap channel in addition to the aileron channel and that seems to have sorted it.
It was all in the manual in black and white - depending on how you interpret the manual, i think the old addage RTFM applies here!!

Go back through the setup in the manual and follow it step by step. You may have the aileron servos misconnected as the right aileron should be plugged into the receiver aileron channel and the left into aux 1.
