Futaba R617FS replacement antenna?
Anyone knows the part number and where to order the replacement antenna for the FASST R617FS Rx?
I just got a crash and one of the antennae in my Rx got broken from the base at the connector. I am hoping that I don't have to send the unit in for repair and just for me to buy the replacement part and install it myself.
Thanks,
Rico.

Personally...if it was in a crash and something broke...
I'd send it in, just to have it fully checked out to make sure that nothing else is wrong inside the case.....

Contact the service department directly, they can set you up with the antenna. It is easy to replace. You cannot buy it from Tower, only direct from service. Once you have the part number you can also have your LHS order it.
And I agree, if you smacked it hard enough to break the antenna, you really should send it in to be looked over.

Thanks.
Actually I did not smack it that hard. It's just that I used it in my flat foamie and my mistake was to have the antenna cables tapped to neck of the plane. When it crashed, it broke the neck.. and it sort of pulled with it the cable. Never thought it would happen that way but I learned my lesson not to tape the antenna cables next time.

Actually for FASST R617FS Rx, the antenna cables are tiny coax cables. It would had been easier/simpler repair if it were single wire cable like their R6004FF Rx (indoor).
