NOOB servo question???
i ordered 2 hitec HS-645 mg servos and received Hitec HS-5645 digital servos. can someone tell me the difference. can i just place this in my rc or does it require programming? i have a RedCat Avalanche with stock radio and receiver. i had a hitec HS-645 mg but i blew the gears out after a cart wheel. any info would be great

RE: NOOB servo question???
Shouldn't be an issue as you've just got the digital version of the analog servos you had. Should be matched tho, i.e. if they are running dual elevator servos you should put both the digitals on the elevators, or on the ailerons if that's where you're using them. The digitals with have better centering and there may be a difference in the speed, check the specs.
Hitec digital servos do not "need" to be programmed, it's just a nice option for certain installs.

RE: NOOB servo question???
You went from a 130oz.(at 6vdc)servo to a 160oz., faster servo. Also a $30 servo to a $55 servo. Someone in the order filling dept. is getting an ear-full from their boss for shipping the wrong model. :-) OR you got really good customer service because they were out of 645s and shipped 5645s.
