Anyone out there using this? I read the article about it and the price isn't too bad. Anyone have any experiences?

Default CoPilot

Hi, Billy,

I just ordered one (2 week back order.) I am planning on trying it on my Fazer. Mounting it on a little balsa shelf on top of fuse. Elevator and ailerons. My plan is to have adjustable sensitivity and on/off on a separate channel. That way, I can try it (a coupla mistakes high) and make sure it reacts how I think it should. If it works right, it should allow me to use high rate montster deflections and if I get in trouble, it'll level it out. After I get used to high rates up high, I will try them lower and lower, maybe without the CoPilot on. I hope it will allow me to land in big gusting cross winds, like we often have here in PA. I'll let you know how it goes.

Dyer: I just mounted one on a Razor. This is in prep for a full review on an electric, a glow, and a jet. Watch for it. Bkf

I am very interested in your feedback.. have considered looking at one of these as a backup...due to my low time in this hobby.

Thanks, bkf,
It looks good. I'm real interested in your findings. Now, I wonder if anyone has mounted one parallel to prop in a 3D plane hooked up to rudder and elevator to help HOVER??? Hmmmmm

Default just received co pilot

Just got mine and it will be used on a gasser heli. Got mine in stock by mail from a hobby shop in Houston for a buck less than FMA if anyone wants one quicker.

I wonder what happens with one of these devices if it is on a plane that snaps with a lot of elevator, or a plane that stays in a power on stall.

It works great until a sensor fails, then in my case it couldn't even be remotely switched off, and my plane entered a gravity well. The unit is now back at FMA for repair. Will have to decide if worth trying again.
