servo bearings
I have picked up some used Futaba s148 servos. Looking up thier specs tells me they have "oilite bearings", which I believe are not Ball bearing. Do servos with these "oilite bearings" need periodic oiling??

RE: servo bearings
No. from Wikipedia:
Oilite is formed using powder metallurgy so that tiny pores are present in the metal. The pores are then vacuum impregnated with an oil to improve the materials bearing ability.[2] The material holds approximately 20% oil by volume.[3] The most common lubricant is SAE 30 oil.[4]
The material they are made of is porous, and holds oil. I've never known them to dry up in typical applications.

RE: servo bearings
Very good answer. Being used, I would open up the top (geartrain) and look for any missing teeth. At that time you can relocate the servo grease back on the gears. With a T pin. They throw the grease off to the voids over time. Any time I re-use a servo into the next airframe, I always do this for peice of mind.
