I belong to a couple clubs that fly off full scale airports, its not a problem.

Kalispell is right on the airport with a tower. Not a problem. Only problem they have is they get yelled at for flying too high and getting to close to the full scale.

I don't think you can be absolutely positive. It would depend on the equipment at the airport and perhaps what shape it is in. You can fly near high tension power lines but if there is a fault in an insulatore or any leakage, it can shoot you down. So someone would say not a problem, but at a different site it would be a problem.

Just wanted to feel out if anyone had had ploblems near airports. Our new local club, has no flying field yet so I sometimes fly off the parking lot of our local airport and have had some problems with a couple of my models. It is a small airport, doesn't really have "a tower".
