FUtaba FASST 2.4GHz question.
Hey guys, I've got a Futaba "FASST" system, I believe it's the 3PM. It's 3 channel, 2.4Ghz.
Anyway, I'm wondering if I can use the receiver in a Duratrax Vendetta ST (electric). The battery that powers car and radio is 7.2v, a 1.6v increase from what the spec for it is.
Is the receiver capable of handling this voltage increase or is it just gonna fry?

RE: FUtaba FASST 2.4GHz question.
The ESC normally has a BEC circuit that regulates the voltage to the receiver and servos to 5.1V normally. Most receivers could handle the 8.4V of a fully charged 6 cell battery, most servos cannot.

The 603FF and 603FS can both handle that voltage, no worries. But as was said above, the BEC likely is dropping the voltage down to 5 volts or so. Most receivers can handle quite a bit of voltage. What limits the voltage is more the servos than the receivers.

RE: FUtaba FASST 2.4GHz question.
Alright thanks!
New question:
How do I set up (connect) the FASST receiver so that both the throttle and the steering will work? I can't seem to get any throttle response out of it.
Thanks.

RE: FUtaba FASST 2.4GHz question.
I don't think it's the receiver that's causing the problem now. I cannot seem to get the stock radio to respond to throttle input either. I dunno what the hell happened, it was working fine, sat on a shelf, and now won't work. Duratrax JUNK!
