disintegrating radio
Hi there can anyone help
I have bought a while ago a JR quattro that I have done some work on to convert it to a 6channel radio.
The problem I am having is that the actual transmitter casing is cracking and falling apart. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know where I can get a spare casing? Is such a thing even possible to get? Any help appreciated. I would really like to save it because I have done a lot of work on it.
Thanks
Gareth

RE: disintegrating radio
that's what I was thinking too (about some sort of chemical) but you would think that they would make them out of something that would stand up to glow fuel surely?

RE: disintegrating radio
You would think so, but so often the people designing one area of a product don't have a clue as to its usage - A typical case of, "The right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing"
I have some very old radios that are still in great shape, while others (still old but newer) the cases are literally disintegrating like you said.
