Default Need a flight pack for a Spectrum 7ch system.

My flying friend has a 2.4 Spectrum 7 ch radio system and needs a standard flight pack for a new model. He wants to know if he can switch brands and use Hitec servos and Rx with his Spectrum Tx or does he have to use only Spectrum branded equipment with his Tx.

he has to use a Spektrum or JR DSM2 receiver, but hitec servos would work with it.

The hitec receiver will not.

Karol,

The 2.4s are like PCMs in that each manufacturer has their own proprietary system that won't work with any other receiver. I fly a JR 9303 with Spectrum receivers and every different kind of servo. Todd's Models has good prices on Spectrum receivers.

Thanks for that explanation Ed as I still fly on 72 with my trusty Futaba 8UAF and have very little working knowledge about the 2.4 systems. Nice hearing from you and hope that all is well.

Karol.
