Default Interference on 75MHz AM?

My neighbor has been getting servo chatter and interference on his vehicle (T-Maxx) whenever I try and run my vehicles with his. He's on channel 81, and I have crystals for both 63 and 79. We both have Futaba radios, I actually have two different ones (2PH and 2PL) and both seem to cause interference with either crystal. His truck is obviously nitro, mine are all electric. My vehicles seem to run fine, aside from one incident where my steering went full lock and the vehicle rolled to a stop for a few seconds.

Is it just because we're on 75MHz AM, or is there anything behind this interference? Any suggestions on how to reduce or eliminate this, aside from one or both of us buying more modern equipment? Thanks in advance.

Default RE: Interference on 75MHz AM?

Sounds like one of your radios is out-of-spec for tuning.
If you're on two different frequencies and get interference from each other, then either I'd consider sending both of the radios in for a check-up and tuning.

It's also a possibility that one radio is significantly more powerful than the other and it's overwhelming the nearby RX, but I dont think that's anywhere near as likely as a radio being out of spec.
