DX7, elevator split?

Default DX7, elevator split?

Hi, I have the DX7 radio in my P47 and how do I set up the ele.? Do I use a Y connector , or, right now I have a servo on each side and no where in the book does it cover mixing the two sides??? Thanks, Guy

Using a Y harness may complicate the mechanical set up of the servos. You may need to use a reversing Y harness to make one of the servos run in the right direction.

Split elevators can be done by using either the flap channel or aux 2 channel as the second elevator.

Using aux 2 as the second elevator channel:use mix program 5 or mix program 6 (so that the trim will work). Mix the elevator with aux 2 with the elevator as the master and aux 2 as slave. Inhibit the aux 2 switch as described on page 38 of users manual. Set second elevator travel and subtrim and with the respective aux 2 page.
Set 2nd elev direction with +% or - % numbers on mix function page.

Try thisX-7 Dual Elevators
Go to Mix#5 (Allows use of trim)
Setup: Master Elevator
Slave Aux#2
Rate +100 % +100%
Set Travel adjustments..Elevator & Aux#2, Sub Trim, etc.

Horizon rep advised to plug the right side servo into the elevator port and the left side into the AUX 2 port then follow the directions given above.
