futaba 9Z question
Hi guys. I just bought a futaba 9ZA, and tower hobbies sent me the 9ZH instead. My question is this. Has anyone used the 9ZH (the heli version) for airplanes? I think the only main difference is a ratchetless throttle in the 9ZH and a few switches are moved.
Has anyone flown planes with the ratchetless throttle? Is it harder/easier?
I would normally send the radio back, but i'm kinda in a time crunch right now. Thanks for any help

futaba 9Z question
The H model also has no snap direction switches.
All the radios I own are helicopter radios. I have not found it to be an issue when flying aeroplanes.
I have used radios with throttle ratchets, but not until long after I learned to fly planes. I didn't notice any difference at all once I was flying and actually concentrating on the plane.

thanks guys...
thanks for the info guys. I talked to Tower Hobbies customer service and they are willing to cross-ship and overnight me the 9ZA (I thought they would only offer standard ground shipping). Very good service IMO.
Thanks again
